Our Printing Environment
In simple terms litho printing (offset lithography) has three key elements Ink, Paper and Plates.
INK
By using vegetable based inks in our Glasgow printing services we can reduce or even cut out volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emissions. VOCs are carbon-containing gases and vapours that are released from solvents used during the litho printing process.
PAPER
We offer a wide range of Recycled and FSC papers for our customers to choose from and we also Recycle all our waste paper. If your company supports this environmental challenge, then ask a member of our staff about the range of recycled papers we have on offer. Airdrie Printing Service work with customers to discuss their requirements and offer alternatives, showing a clear benefit to the environment which helps everyone.
PRINTING PLATES
Recently we invested in a new CTP System (Computer to Plate). This system is Chemistry Free allows us to take full advantage of Chemistry Free metal plates. This system is also future proof to deal with any further advances in CTP technology. This system has been vital in maintaining our high quality litho printing standards whilst reducing our environmental footprint.
